Her maiden Kannada film, the Puneet Rajkumar-starrer Jackie, was one of the few Sandalwood flicks in the recent past to set BO registers ringing.
And now Bhavana hopes to maintain her good track record with her next Kannada project, an untitled film with Sudeep that was previously called Vishnuvardhana.
In her new movie, Bhavana plays "a bubbly girl named Bharati" who is the wife of Sudeep's character, Vishnu. Does she know if the film bears any resemblance to the life of the late Vishnuvardhan, which is supposedly why the title was changed? "This is a work of fiction and is total entertainment," maintains the actress, adding that she doesn't know much about the title war. "I kept asking the producer why the film shoot was getting postponed. Then he told me that there was some problem with the title and that he was trying to sort it out. I don't know much about the matter, so I can't really comment on it," she says.

Her latest movie Jeyam Kondaan opposite Vinay got generally positive reviews and she was praised for her prim and proper potrayal of a small town girl. Bhavana depicted a complete new style and look specially in the songs and was noted to have reduced a lot of weight finally fitting in the profile of glamourous and beautiful Kollywood heroines.
