I can honestly say that, in all my years of watching movies,I have never seen a character getting ready to punch the crap out of a pack ofhungry wolves, by attaching broken bottles to their hands as extreme knuckledusters! I fear a new, illegal, underground blood-sport may be born of this. “Thefirst rule of wolf fight club is bring your own bandages!” But slap me ifNeeson doesn’t manage to make it look cool; he pulls off the shot and thosewolves are in for a hell of a beating.
Synopsis...
“In The Grey, Liam Neeson leads an unruly group of oil-rigroughnecks when their plane crashes into the remote Alaskan wilderness.Battling mortal injuries and merciless weather, the survivors have only a fewdays to escape the icy elements – and a vicious pack of rogue wolves on thehunt – before their time runs out.” Based on the Short Ghost Story "GhostWalker" by Ian Mackenzie Jeffers; it has been written by Joe Carnahan& Ian Mackenzie Jeffers.
The film is written and directed by Joe Carahan, who I amgrowing quite fond of. Smoking Aces was a much better film than I thought itwas going to be be. A lot of fun wit some very good action it. As for his filmof The A-Team, that film was very poorly marketed. We had zero interest in watchingit, based on the trailers, but when we finally sa it we found the story to bepretty well thought out (The focus on Plans was both a worthy homage to theshow and a decent thread to hang the story around) and it had some innovativeand exciting set pieces.
Here’s the trailer...
