In an interesting twist Taylor Lautner told Vman magazinethat he is aware that that hysteria, major fandom, surrounding him and hisTwilight characters, has more to do with the characters than the actors.Quote...
"It’s definitely thesecharacters we are playing,” he explains. “They are in love with Bella Swan,Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. I mean, they feel like they know them. We arejust lucky enough to be playing them. But I definitely think it’s thecharacters."
Now I’ll bet Lionsgate are hoping that he’s wrong, at leastin part, as they will be hoping a fair number of the fans his abs hisappearances in the Twilight saga have accrued, will follow him in other roles andgive the film a decent opening in 3 weeks time.
The film certainly has decent support in Sigourney Weaver,Alfred Molina and Jason Issacs and, as you can see in the ‘stunts’ featurette, his action chops are definitely being talked up.
“Taylor Lautner stars as a young man unwittingly thrust intoa deadly world of covert espionage in Lionsgates's action thriller, ABDUCTION,directed by John Singleton.
For as long as he can remember, Nathan Harper (TaylorLautner) had had the uneasy feeling that he's living someone else's life. Whenstumbles upon the image of himself as a little boy on a missing personswebsite, all of Nathan's darkest fears come true; as he realises his parentsare not his own and his life is a lie, carefully fabricated to hide somethingmore mysterious and dangerous than he could have ever imagined.
Just as he begins to piece together his true identity, Nathanis targeted by a team of trained killers, forcing him on the run with the onlyperson he can trust , his neighbour, Karen (Lilly Collins). Every second counts as Nathan ad Karen race to evade anarmy of assassins and federal operatives. But as his opponents close in, Nathanrealises that the only way he'll survive - and solve the mystery of his elusivebiological father - is to stop running and take matter into his own hands.”
We shall see shortly.
